Hello, Florence Wine Lovers!
We are actively filling our shelves with wine. Why is all this taking so long? Well, we have to taste every one, of course. Who knew it would be so much fun!
Loads of questions have come our way during the last few months. And as a general rule, we won't say No, but the one that itches the most and must be honestly answered is: Will you be serving food?
And the answer is, No, and Yes. Someone said there was a facebook post that said they spoke with the owners and we said we were reopening just like before. Pants on Fire!
The kitchen equipment is gone from our lovely building on the Charleston Highway. (Old timers know that's what they used to call South Irby St.)
So, the cuisine we all knew as Grotto Food will only remain in our memories. RIP Lowcountry Pizza, Grandisimo, Caponata & Potato Crusted Salmon. Even restaurants have life expectancies, ya know. We made it past voting age, so we'll call it a success.
So what will we serve? Well, we have carefully selected 9 awesome wine-friendly cheeses, and will offer a nice little plate. We'll have some tables so our guests can sit enjoy these offerings.
You'll be able to have a look at the tentative menu shortly! And I mean, as soon as figure out how to get it on here!
