Lucky for us, we're taking December off this year to relax.

Lots of you know we are ISO new operators for the Grotto, and how's that going, Vince&Maura?

Well, we're optimistic, but realistic as well.  It took a looooooooooong time before that auto parts company showed up.  So we can wait.

In the meantime, we plan on doing some tastings this winter.

First one out the gate will be an all-red-wine affair, date TBA.

Hint: we fill our seats broadcasting the events to our email list and usually don't use facebook, so if you want on the list, send your address to grottofinewine@gmail.com and we will put you on.

Chono Sauvignon Blanc - Single Vineyard - Leyda Valley 2015 Regular - $12.00 August special price  - $9.00 91 Points James Suckling Aromatic and bright white from the cool Leyda Valley. 100% Sauvignon Blanc that refreshes with each sip. All Stainless steel production ensures freshness and zip.

Chono Pinot Noir - Single Vineyard - Casablanca Valley 2015 Regular - $14.00 August special price  - $11.00 Wait, this is 100% Pinot Noir with 30% aged in French oak from a single vineyard that looks, smells, and tastes like Pinot? Must be crazy pricey, right? Nope. We continue on the value course here. This wine rocks!

Chono Red Blend Cauquenes Valley 2014 Regular - $13.00 August special price  - $10.00 We find Cauquenes in the most southern part of the Maule Valley. This blend represents this amazing terroir. 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30 % Carignan, 10% Garnacha, 10% Petit Verdot, and 10% Tempranillo.

Chono Carmenére - Single Vineyard - Maipo Valley 2014 Regular - $12.00 August special price  - $9.00 88 Points James Suckling This vineyard was planted in 1995, so the vines have had 22 years to develop, and it shows in the glass. The tannins are velvety and smooth. 12 months in French and American oak.

Update on our Reopening

Hello and Good Morning

In our last post we mentioned re-opening in June.

The new date is going to be in September.

However, on Saturday, July 15, we will have a pop-up opening where a glass, or a flight, or a bottle can be enjoyed with some interesting things to nibble on.

We hope you can drop in, we'll open that night at 5 pm.

We will confirm this date as well.  Have a Great Summer !

We're on Vacation ! Reopening Soon

Hello Friend and Wine Fan

Fortunately, we are active senior citizens, and that requires us to take a lot of time off.

We are currently closed for regular business, but still available for private events.

Thank you for your enthusiastic support; it is truly appreciated.

Look for us to reopen the wine bar and cheese/charcuterie operation in June 2017!

In the meantime, watch for our special sales.

The last one was April 12, we had the Teorema Garnacha 2012 on sale for $4.99.
